International kickboxing returns to Northern Ireland on Saturday February 17 with the ProKick gala held at Stormont Hotel in Belfast. The event promoted by Billy Murray follows The Usual Suspects 3 roadshow, which took place at Queen’s Hall in Newtownards in June.

The fight card of the upcoming show is currently in the making. It is expected to feature the A-list Northern Irish kickboxers up against international opponents, with several WKN titles contested on the night. In addition, the promotion has recently announced the appearance of “The Peace Fighters” at the event.

“The Peace Fighters will also make an appearance at the international event at the Stormont Hotel. More on this later,” outlined in the press release.

The Peace Fighters aim to promote peace and respect through sport by bringing together leading martial arts groups from here at home, across Europe and beyond. Launched in 2008 by Northern Ireland’s Billy Muray and Swiss Carl Emery, the initiative has been presented at the 25th UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva in 2014.

The initiative is indeed known internationally. One of the recent examples comes from Malta where “Gladiators Fight Night 19” was promoted in June under the banner of The Peace Fighters.

The match ups of the upcoming ProKick show are expected to be announced in the near future. We will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
