UFC 219 fight card update
UFC 219: Cyborg vs Holm

UFC 219 takes place at T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas this Sunday December 31 (December 30 in the US). The Pay-Per-View event is the final promotion of the year, featuring the defending women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg up against Ranked No.2 Holly Holm.

On Monday the fight card suffered a pull out when John Lineker was forced to withdraw from his bantamweight bout against Jimie Rivera due to tooth infection. According to reports he required to undergo an emergency surgery.

It appears that a replacement opponent has not been found and Rivera was also taken off the card. On Thursday the promotion announced that the lightweight bout between Dan Hooker and Marc Diakiese has been moved up to the main card.

“An injury has forced bantamweight contender John Lineker from Saturday’s UFC 219 bout against Jimmie Rivera at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Moving up to the main card is the lightweight clash between Dan Hooker and Marc Diakiese.

In the main event of UFC 219, which airs live on Pay-Per-View, Cris Cyborg defends her UFC women’s featherweight title against Holly Holm.”

The second bout from the top is a lightweight battle between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Edson Barboza. The current UFC 219 fight card can be found below.
