IFMA Muay Thai 2018 schedule

The International Federation of Muaythai Amateur is the sport governing body, which consists of over a hundred member-countries worldwide, with 5 continental federations. Following a historic 2017 which marked the debut of Muay Thai at The World Games, IFMA enters 2018 with six major happenings presented on the event calendar.

In addition to the previously announced World Championships scheduled from May 10 to May 19 in Cancun, Mexico, the roster includes five other significant events. The list features European Championships, FISU World University Championships, Youth World Championships, Pan American Championships and Asian Championships.

In 2018 European Championships is held in Czech Republic. The event takes place in Prague from June 29 to July 8. Up next is FISU World University Championships held in Pattaya, Thailand from July 23 to July 31.

The most anticipated event of the year for the young Muay Thai competitors is held in the Kingdom’s capital from August 3 to August 11. Youth World Championships 2018 follows this year’s competition also held in Bangkok, with 79 Nations participating.

Muay Thai returns to Mexico, where Pan American Championships takes place in the city Acapulco from October 26 to October 29. Finalizing the year, Asian Championships scheduled from December 3 to December 11 in Macau.

In addition to the championship events outlined above, IFMA’s activities includes a number of conferences, seminars, educational forums and more.
