Carlos Coello Kick Off
Spanish Muay Thai star Carlos Coello starts the year with a kick. Crowned last month WKN World bantamweight champion was the man to kick-off the Cadiz CF vs. Sevilla FC football match held yesterday (Jan. 4) at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Over 17.000 people reportedly attended the televised game, where Coello appeared in the center of attention, showcasing his prestigious World Kickboxing Network championship belt.
On December 16, 2017 Carlos Coello went up against Portuguese Joao Goncalves in the city Ponferrada. The pair battled out for, a vacant at that time, WKN bantamweight Muay Thai title. The bout went the distance with the representative of the country-host proclaimed as the winner by a unanimous decision.
Alongside Coello, Spain is the country to gift the Kickboxing Planet with names such as Juanito Garcia, Simon Santana, Frank Munoz, Cesar Cordoba, among others. It is also known as one of the most prominent country-participants on the soccer field featuring giant clubs Barcelona and Real Madrid.
