International kickboxing returns to Nothern Ireland with ProKick gala at Stormont Hotel Belfast

Made-in ProKick: Cathy McAleer vs. Martyn Ciaskowska

On Saturday February 17 Billy Murray presents the next edition of “Made-in ProKick” international kickboxing shows promoted in Northern Ireland. The event takes place at Stormont Hotel in Belfast, featuring the A-list representatives of the country-host, competitors from overseas, as well as the amateur and novice fighters.

On Saturday FIGHTMAG learned a completed main card of the upcoming show, comprising four bouts. The main event is WKN International flyweight bout between Cathy McAleer of Northern Ireland and Martyna Ciaskowska of Poland. The women’s contest is scheduled for three rounds in oriental kickboxing (K-1 rules).

Over the course of her career McAleer earned World Kickboxing Network bantamweight title in Full Contact. She has also defeated the likes of Kylie Cocker, Fabienne Erdas, Ariana Siegel, Dani Hodges. The resume of Martyna Ciaskowska includes the battles against Angelika W?grzyn, Dominika Rembelska, Julia Nowakowska, among others.

The co-main event is a welterweight battle between Johnny Smith of Belfast and Eric McCormack of Athlone. The WKN All-Ireland prestige bout is also scheduled for three rounds.

The main card also includes two amateur contests. Rowena Bolt takes on Kerry Doyle of Ireland at women’s flyweight, while her Northern Irish-fellow Salman Shariati meets Polish Patryn Klak at super welterweight.
