Promoted by Billy Murray, the next edition of “made-in ProKick” events takes place at Stormont Hotel in Belfast on February 17. The Saturday Fight Night Special marks the return of international kickboxing to Northern Ireland, featuring the A-list representative of country-host up against international opponents. The program also includes a series of amateur bouts as well as novice competitors.
The fight card of the upcoming show has been finalized on Tuesday. The latest addition features Rachel McCarta, who makes her debut inside the square circle. Battling out on home soil, she faces, also the novice fighter, Amy Oglesbee of England. The super featherweight bout is scheduled for three rounds in Full Contact.
The event is headlined by “Karate Queen” Cathy McAleer who takes on Martyna Ciaskowska of Poland. The WKN International match up in oriental kickboxing (K-1 rules) is scheduled for three rounds at catchweight, with the limit of 53 kg.
Also on the main card welterweight Johnny Smith goes up against Eric McCormack in All-Ireland prestige bout. In addition, the representative of the country-host Rowena Bolt and the current IKF Irish champion Kerry Doyle, battle out for WKN Irish women’s flyweight title in Full Contact.
