Three WKN titles at stake in Mayotte

Kickboxing World Championship comes to French region Mayotte on Saturday July 28. It is the first time when an archipelago in the Indian Ocean (between Madagascar and the coast of Mozambique) accommodates the event of such caliber, with three WKN titles contested on the night. The organization made theĀ announcement via Twitter on Friday.

French Hirachidine Saindou battles out in the main event, challenging for a vacant World Kickboxing Network welterweight title. In 2009 he became European champion and in 2014 took world title belt (WAKO) when he defeated Marinko Citicic.

Up next is a contest for a prestigious WKN trophy. The name of the second contender is expected to be announced in the near future.

The co-main event features local super featherweight Helena Claveau, who battles out for WKN Inter-continental title. The name of her opponent is also yet announced. In addition, welterweight Jerome Valla contests for WKN International strap, going up against a competitor who is as well expected to be announced shortly.

The undercard is expected to feature a series of prestige and rating bouts. The current lineup can be found below.
