European Muay Thai Championships 2018 is held from Friday June 29 to Sunday July 8 in Prague, Czech Republic. The event follows IFMA World Championships which takes place in Cancun, Mexico in May.

“The beautiful city of Prague will be a host of the 2018 European Championships taking over the event from another European capital Paris,” International Federation of Muaythai Amateur announced this week. “This year the best European Muay Thai athletes will compete for gold medals and for the young participants it will be a new step in their careers.”

“Prague is ready to open its heart and gate to all Muay Thai athletes, practitioners and followers at the biggest Muaythai event in Europe in 2018. It will be an amazing week of competitions, important and fun meetings, close bouts, emotional moments, loud support, and everything the Art of Eight Limbs is so known and loved for.”

In addition the event is accompanied by the roar of motorbikes. Harley Davidson celebrates its 115 Anniversary, joining the competition to support Muay Thai athletes.

European Muaythai Federation encourages to “visit Prague, see one of the oldest martial arts [Muay Thai] in one of the oldest European capitals”. The event is expected to be a blend of sport, culture and history.
