Israel Adesanya vs. Marvin Vettori
New MMA sensation out of New Zealand Israel Adesanya makes his second UFC appearance on April 14 in Glendale, Arizona. The event takes place at Gila River Arena where Nigeria-born fighter takes on Italian middleweight Marvin Vettori live on FOX.
Israel Adesanya (12-0) made his debut inside the Octagon on February 11 at UFC 221 in Perth, Australia. He scored the second round TKO win against Rob Wilkinson, as well as earned Performance of the Night.
Marvin Vettori (12-3-1) is a four-fight UFC veteran. His resume includes the victories against Alberto Uda, Vitor Miranda, among others.
“A native of Nigeria who now makes his home in New Zealand, Adesanya improved his pro MMA record to 12-0 on the UFC 221 card on February 11 with a second-round TKO of Rob Wilkinson that earned him Performance of the Night honors,” the promotion announced on Saturday. “This April, “The Last Stylebender” will test himself against Italy’s Vettori, a four-fight veteran of the UFC who has scored victories over Alberto Uda and Vitor Miranda.”
UFC on FOX 29 is headlined by the lightweight battle between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje. Also on the card Carlos Condit meets Matt Brown at welterweight.
