WKN returns to Caribbean

World Kickboxing Network returns to Caribbean region with “Gwadboxing Round 2018”, the organization announced on Monday. The event promoted by Frederick Audoui is held on Saturday March 31 in Guadeloupe, featuring local fighters up against international opponents.

The programme of the upcoming show is the 14-fight mixed bill with kickboxing, boxing and MMA (Pancrase) bouts presented on the card. Moreover, six WKN Caribbean championship belts will be contested on the night.

The fight card is yet to be announced. The roster is expected to include the representatives of Guadeloupe, as well as the competitors coming from France, Poland, St Lucia, Sint Maarten and Martinique.

Guadeloupe is the French territory dubbed as “Kickboxing Capital” of the Caribbean Sea. Four series of “Caribbean War” have been held on the Island, with the most recent event promoted in 2015. In addition, in 2016 French star Greg Tony made his third successful WKN World Super Heavyweight title defense, when he knocked out Czech Alen Kapetanovic in the second round at “Gwada Super Fight”.
