Simply the Best Kickboxing
Kickboxing series Simply the Best begins in the fourth season tomorrow (March 16) in Slovakia. Each Episode features notable fighters, contesting for WKN World and subordinate titles. The events are produced in numerous countries throughout Europe as well as in South America.
Tomorrow’s show, Simply the Best 18 takes place at Arena Poprad featuring the ten-fight. The main event is the World Kickboxing Network Super Middleweight championship bout between Slovakian Vladimir Idranyi and Dylan Colin of France.
The pilot aired in 2014 back in Poprad. Two more shows were held in the city within the following two seasons. In addition Simply the Best visited Kosice.
The promoter in Slovakia Lukas Bodyy recently spoke to Fight Portal reflecting back as well as revealing his plans for the near future.
“In 2013 we produced Bigger’s Better boxing tournament [live on Eurosport]. It was very successful,” said Bodyy. “We spoke with WKN President Stephane Cabrera and decided to launch the world-class series and called it “Simply the Best”.
When asked about his plans for the future Bodyy said he wants to promote two shows per year in Slovakia.
“In addition to Poprad, last year we have held a successful gala in Kosice [Ep. 16]. I want to do it again.”
“There are other cities we look forward to visit. But first we need to see how we can handle two events of such caliber [per year].”
Bodyy also spoke about his protegee Tomas Mozny, well-known as “Slovakian Giant”. As well, he outlined several fighters he has coached, including Samuel Hadzima, Pavol Garaj, Cyril Pazitny, among others.
