LNK Fight Night 6: Andrejs Podusovs defeats Iddi Mkwela

LNK Fight Night vol. 6 was held this past Saturday (March 17) at Arena Riga. The event promoted by Vadim Milov and Eugene Sapronenko featured a mixed fight bill with boxing, kickboxing and MMA bouts presented on the program.

The roster included the A-list representatives of Latvia up against international opponents, coming from Tanzania, Georgia, Lithuania, Spain, Poland, Germany, Guinea and Argentina. Two title belts were contested on the night.

In the main event Latvian Andrejs Podusovs faced off Iddi Mkwela of Tanzania. The pair battled our for IBA International lightweight title.

The scheduled for ten rounds championship bout went the distance. The representative of the country-host was pronounced as the winner, taking the strap by judges decision.

Podusovs updated his record to 15-10-1. Mkwela suffered the first defeat in his professional career and dropped to 7-1-1.

In the co-main event Latvian Artur Gorlov scored the first round knockout win against Neil Aquino of Germany. In addition, he claimed World Kickboxing Network International super cruiserweight belt.
