Sylvester Stallone: Incredible 40th anniversary Rocky championship belt

Hollywood boxing icon Sylvester Stallone is the inductee into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, class of 2010, in the non-participant category. Thanks to his ‘best friend’ known as Rocky Balboa, Sly has been helping popularize The Sweet Science from the Big Screen for over four decades. The latter celebrated his 40th on November 24, 2016, and is expected to appear in the second chapter of Creed in November.

This week Stallone posted a photo on Instagram, which shows him holding the “incredible 40th anniversary Rocky championship belt”, presented by WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman and Miguel Aleman Magnani. “I would like to thank the president of the World Boxing Council Mauricio Sulaiman and my great friend, Miguel Aleman Magnani for presenting me with this simply incredible 40th anniversary Rocky championship belt which I will treasure always,” Sylvester Stallone wrote in the caption. “What an honor from such a respected organization!”

The day after Hollywood star shared the video which shows the “fantastic belt”, which “was done a couple of years ago, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Rocky”.

“This is what it looks like up close, just beautiful. I am so proud to Have people that still enjoy this journey,” he captioned.
