Simply the Best Kickboxing
World Championship returned to Slovakia with Simply the Best 18 Poprad held last Friday March 16. The event promoted by Lukas Bodyy featured a mixed fight-bill with kickboxing, boxing and MMA bouts presented on the card. Three WKN titles were contested on the night.
The main event saw French Dylan Colin scoring a unanimous decision against local favorite Vladimir Idranyi. After five rounds of action the protege of Gregory Tony was pronounced as a new World Kickboxing Network super middleweight champion.
Slovakian Samuel Hadzima took the revenge against his old Belgian rival Tarik Mahillon, claiming a unanimous decision, moreover WKN International lightweight belt. The pair first met at STB 17 Farciennes last November, where the latter took the win by TKO in the first round.
In addition, Erik Matejovsky was crowned as a new WKN Slovakian light heavyweight champion, after he earned a unanimous decision against Jozef Kolodzej. The complete results can be found here.
On Thursday the promotion released a new video which comprises the highlight moments of STB 18 Poprad. This year Slovakian is expected to accommodate two episodes of Simply the Best.
