Muay Thai star Buakaw Banchamek and Niclas Larsen of Denmark were expected to battle out in the main event of the upcoming All Star Fight 3 event held on April 28 in Bangkok. The bout fell off this past weekend when the latter was forced to withdraw due to skin infection.
“They [doctors] could conclude that I had a staph / streptokok bacteria on the skin,” says Larsen in the video posted on Facebook. “They gave me strong antibiotic for 5 days and then it should be OK. “Today [April 20] I went back for a check up at the hospital but for my bad luck I had to stay on the medicine at least 5 more days, my wounds is looking better but they won’t be healed until the 28.4.18.
“I would put my own and Buakaw health in danger if I would still be fighting that night.”
The promotion made announced that it is seeking a new opponent to challenge Buakaw. The announcement is expected “in the next day or so, on who is brave enough to accept the late challenge to step over the ropes and into ‘The Lion’s Den’ with the ‘Son of Surin’.
All Star Fight 3 takes place at Super Export Shop in Bangkok, Thailand. The fight card comprises seven bouts. The current lineup can be found below.
