Real Hero: 8 man knockout contest

Real Hero is a one-night tournament, which features eight international competitors battling out in a knockout contest. The bouts are scheduled for one round, while the duration of the round is five minutes.

The event is a weekly series produced by Top Sangmorakot every Sunday live on Thai Channel 34 Amarin HD. Every Episode is a tournament in a different weight division.

The most recent edition was held this past Sunday (May 13) in Bangkok. The tournament was set in a Super Featherweight class (62 kg). The roster included the representatives of Thailand, Tunisia, Vietnam, Australia, Uzbekistan, Laos and Russia.

Greek-Australian Petros Papoutsakis earned three victories during one evening, consequently taking all tournament. In the opening round he eliminated Vietnamese Nguyen Thuy. In the semi-final he scored the decision against Thai Kaowongkot Por. Pormmin.

In the championship round Papoutsakis faced off Khamphou Aloun of Laos, winning the fight by decision. On the way to the final the latter took the decision against Rustamov Ilhom of Uzbekistan and Palangrak Pot. Phasuk of Thailand.

Alexey Balyko defeated Palangrak Pot. Phasuk in the quarter-final, however it was the latter who has advanced to the next round. At the weigh-in ceremony conducted the day before the fight show Russian fighter showed 1.3 kg over the limit. The complete results can be found below.
