GLORY Kickboxing returns to New York

Kickboxing event GLORY 55 New York takes place at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on July 21 (July 20 in the US). The event features a series of international bouts with two titles contested on the top of the fight bill.

In one of the championship bouts Dutch Robin “Poker Face” van Roosmalen (40-7, 21 KO) defends his featherweight title facing off Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao (159-36-2, 27 KO) of Thailand. The contest is scheduled for five rounds.

In addition, the bout is also their second encounter. The pair initially met at GLORY 41 last May when the reigning champion took the majority decision.

The second title fight features the defending middleweight champion Alex ‘Po Atan’ Pereira (27-6, 17 KO) of Brazil up against the No.1 contender Yousri Belgaroui (24-4, 12 KO) of Holland. The contest concludes the trilogy with both fighters victorious over one another in their previous bouts.

In their first bout at GLORY 40 last April Belgaroui defeated Perira by decision. In December the latter took the revenge scoring the TKO win.

The rest of the card, including the Super Fight Series programme and GLORY 45 Prelims are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The current lineup can be found below.
