Tomasz Sarara Simply the Best at Boxing Night 14 in Warsaw
Polish heavyweight Tomasz Sarara and “Slovakian Giant” Tomas Mozny faced off for the second time on Friday May 25 in Warsaw, Poland. The pair contested for a prestigious World Kickboxing Network Super Heavyweight title. The bout was featured on the card at Boxing Night 14 held at National Stadium (PGE Narodowy) live on TVP Sport.
The scheduled for five rounds championship bout ended prior to the final bell. In the fourth round Mozny received a deep cut, (which as a result required six stitches), and the referee Josef Klein paused the action, calling in the doctor to assess the injury.
The latter stopped the contest, despite Mozny’s aspiration to continue the battle. As a result Sarara was proclaimed as the winner by TKO.
Ultimately, Tomasz Sarara was awarded the WKN World Super Heavyweight title, presented by Australian model Lilian Dikmans. In addition, it was his second win against Mozny, following their first encounter in 2013, when he took the decision victory in the finale of boxing series “Bigger’s Better 22 Zakopane”.
