The President of World Kickboxing Network Stephane Cabrera visits Malta on Saturday June 2. The travel is dedicated to the 2018 Kickboxing Seminar, which the WKN head hosts in European country located in the central Mediterranean between Sicily and the North African coast, Television Malta reported this week.
Maltese Martial Arts veteran Adrian Axisa is expected alongside Cabrera, hosting the seminar. The event takes place at Ying-Yang gym at 5:00 PM (local time), and is open to all athletes and kickboxing clubs.
As a country-host Malta is known for a series of “Gladiators Fight Night” events. Over the years the fight shows feature local and international competitors, coming from Northern Ireland, Switzerland, Italy.
The current roster of Maltese kickboxers includes the likes of Keith Azzopardi, Piscopo Jesred, Christopher Rotin, amongst others. The most famous competitor is Daniel “The Jet” Zahra, who is the former WKN World lightweight champion, as well as the first professional fighter representing the country. The athletes compete at various promotions including Simply the Best Kickboxing and WKN World Cup, just to name a couple.
The trip to Malta, follows Cabrera’s travel to Zanzibar, Tanzania, where World Kickboxing Network appointed new members in March.
