Choc des Mondes: Montier vs.Pumpanmuang

WKN World featherweight title is on the line tonight (June 2) in French city Caudry. The representative of the country host Gaylord Montier takes on Thai Muangsee Pumpanmuang, contesting for a prestigious belt.

Over the course of his career Gaylord Montier earned ISKA World and WAKO Pro European titles. Prior retirement, he aspires to capture the strap of the major kickboxing governing.

Muangsee Pumpanmuang is known for his battles against Prince Junior, Omar Sellami, among others. His resume includes Lumpinee Stadium championship, as well as WMO title and Max Muay Thai belt.

The Montier vs. Pumpanmuang bout headlines “Choc des Mondes” held at Palais des Sports (Palace of Sport). Promoted by Youssef Hallouane, the event also features a series of international and French rating match ups.

The official weigh-in ceremony was conducted on Friday. The bout is scheduled for five rounds in oriental kickboxing (K-1 rules).

In addition, Choc des Mondes is promoted on the same day as Domination Muay Thai 20 held in Perth, Australia, where Toby Smith faces Sam Gough battling out for WKN World Middleweight title.
