Jordan Godtfredsen defeats Roy Wills, gets WKN LW title shot

Domination Muay Thai 20: Jordan Godtfredsen takes revenge against Roy Wills

Jordan Godtfredsen and Roy Wills squared off for the second time this past Saturday (June 2) in Perth, WA. The battle co-headlined Domination Muay Thai 20, which arguably produced the best fight card of the year in Australia. The pair contested for a chance to challenge for WKN World Lightweight title at the future event.

The scheduled for five rounds bout went the distance. The judges’ decision went in favor of Godtfredsen (50-45, 50-45, 50-46). As a result he is expected to headline Domination Muay Thai 21 scheduled for October, facing off against an opponent to be determined.

Topping up the bill, Godtfredsen took a revenge against Wills. The pair first met in 2011, when the latter took the win by TKO, as well as captured WA State Super Featherweight belt.

In addition, Godtfredsen updated his record to 25-7, 6 KO. Wills dropped to 41-15, 12 KO.

In the main event of Domination 20, local star Toby “The Weapon” Smith stopped England’s Sam Gough in the third round, claiming WKN World Middleweight title. The undercard featured a series of bouts with some of the leading Australian competitors, as well as Thai fighters.
