Next week WKN President Stephane Cabrera travels to Cyprus, where he hosts kickboxing seminar scheduled for Thursday June 14 at the Uppercut Team in Nicosia. The event follows the recent training clinics in Malta, which has reportedly gathered over 70 people in attendance.
Cyprus is an island country in the Eastern Mediterranean. It is no stranger to the world-class kickboxing.
During the last fifteen years Nicosia, Paphos, Limassol and Larnaca have been the city-hosts of numerous promotions, including the World Championship events. Furthermore, this is where three episode of boxing series “Bigger’s Better” have been produced live on Eurosport in 2010-2013.
The WKN branch in Cyprus is run by Chris Christodoulou. He is a head of Uppercut Team as well as the leading promoter in the country.
One of the most prominent fighters out of Cyprus is Christos Nicolaou. He is the former WKN World Super Light Heavyweight champion, winning the belt seven years ago by way of TKO in the fourth round against Bulgarian Yordan Kolev.
An upcoming seminar in Cyprus marks its fourth edition. Alongside Nicosia, over the years Stephane Cabrera also visited such cities as Famagusta and Larnaka.
