Simply the Best 20 Cordoba – Estrellas de Acero 2

Simply the Best returned to South America earlier this month with Episode 20 produced in Argentine city Cordoba. The event took place at Union Electrica presenting a nine-fight card, which comprised six MMA and three kickboxing bouts.

The highlight of the event featured the former World Kickboxing Network Super Cruiserweight champion Jorge “Acero” Cali, who stepped inside the square circle for the first time in five years.

Testing himself in MMA for the second time “Acero” Cali went up against the Mixed Martial Arts veteran Diego “El Toro” Visotzky. The latter who took the win via the first round submission. The pair is expected to square off in kickboxing rematch this November.

In addition, a new WKN Argentine Light Heavyweight champion was crowned on the night. Martin “Maquina” Ottaviano defeated his country-fellow Luis “El Verdugo” Avila also by submission in the first round, consequently taking the belt. The complete results can be found below.

The highlight video of the event hit the stream late last week. On Friday the organization released a new clip, announcing a replay scheduled for June 30 (July 1 in Australia) on CN 23 (Cablevision HD 545, Direc TV 731 and Telecentro 9) from 8 pm to 10 pm (local time).
