Guillermo ‘El Huracan’ Benitez contests for WKN International Middleweight title
Kickboxing series Simply the Best 21 Buenos Aires takes place at Nina nightclub in Ituzaingo on July 22 (July 23 in Australia). The event is featured on the “Estrellas de Acero 3” programme on Fox Sports, CN 23 and B1B.
Late last week World Kickboxing Network announced the name of first fighter, Guillermo Benitez (36-0-1), battling out at the upcoming show. On Monday the organization put the championship belt on the top of the fight bill.
In June 2015 “El Huracan” Benitez claimed WKN South American Super Middleweight title by way of knockout in the first round against Roberto Alcaraz of Paraguay at STB 5 Caseros. Earlier in his career he also earned WKN Argentine Super Middleweight belt taking a decision win against his country-fellow Luciano Vazquez.
Stepping inside the square circle at Simply the Best for the fourth time, Benitez battles out for WKN International Middleweight strap. The name of the second title challenger is yet to be announced.
The list of fighters partaking in the event reportedly includes a newly titled WKN Intercontinental Lightweight champion Argentine Nikolas Vega. He is coming off the fourth-round knockout win against French Jeremy Nkoa taken at STB 15 Moreno last October.
In addition, Marcos Rios, Nicolas Jara, among others, are expected to make their appearance at Simply the Best 21 Buenos Aires. The fight card is currently in the making.
