Simply the Best Kickboxing – Estrellas de Acero
Jorge Acero Cali is the former World Kickboxing Network (WKN) Super Cruiserweight champion. Over the course of his career he has successfully defended his title three times, gathering thousands at the Luna Park stadium in Buenos Aires.
In his retirement fight in 2013 “Acero” Cali tested himself in MMA. Earlier this month he returned to action at Simply the Best 20 Cordoba, giving Mixed Martial Arts the second try.
In addition, the famed fighter launched a series of events titled “Estrellas de Acero” (Steel Stars, Eng.), produced in terms of Simply the Best Kickboxing. Two episodes have been held to date, including the show in Cordoba, as well as the series 19 accommodated last month in Buenos Aires. The next event, Simply the Best 21 is held on July 22 in Ituzaingo (July 23 in Australia).
The popularity of the former Argentine king of kickboxing is still high. Over the last several months Acero Cali appeared on numerous TV networks, including FOX and CN 23. In addition, Simply the Best Kickboxing has been recently presented on Golden Live Radio San Isidro.
On Monday (Tuesday in Australia) Jorge “Acero” Cali appeared on the NET: Nunca es Tarde programme on FOX Sports (It’s never too late, Eng.), hosted by German Paoloski. The latter is an award-winning Argentine actor and TV personality, who received the 2011 Martin Fierro Award for male journalism for his work on Telefe Noticias, as well as for host of Pura Química on ESPN+.
Among everything, the pair spoke sports career of Cali, as well as an upcoming Simply the Best 21 Buenos Aires, which is the third series of “Estrellas de Acero”.
