Prokick Special at Stormont Hotel Belfast

International kickboxing returns to Northern Ireland this coming Saturday (June 30) with the “made-in Prokick” event promoted by Billy Murray at Stormont Hotel Belfast. The lineup features the A-list local fighters, as well as the representatives of Cyprus, Malta, Spain, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

On Thursday World Kickboxing Network announced a finalized fight card, comprising eight bouts. Furthermore, the WKN championship has been added to the programme.

The current WKN Irish Flyweight champion Rowena Bolt received a new opponent, when the previously announced Whitney Sheppard of Ireland withdrew reportedly “due to a dental problem”. Maltese Diane Schembri stepped-in, replacing the latter. Moreover International title belt has been put on the line.

Topping up the bill, Bolt and Schembri have previously met. The pair squared off last October in Malta, where the representative of the country host took the decision.

As a result, Bolt aspires to take a revenge on her home soil, while Schembri is looking to bring a prestigious belt back to Malta.
