UFC 226 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena this coming Sunday (Sat. in the US). The event is headlined by the championship superfight between the current heavyweight title holder Stipe Miocic, who defends his belt against the light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. On Friday EA SPORTS hit the stream with a simulation of a highly anticipated main event battle.

“This is a very close matchup, with each fighter holding a notable advantage over the other,” stated in the description. “While Stipe has the striking advantage, Cormier brings Olympic-level wrestling to the table, and both enter the Octagon with legendary reputations for toughness. The winner will be the fighter who controls the pace and where the fight goes, utilizing their strengths and taking advantage of their opponent’s weaknesses.”

The co-main event was expected to feature the current UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway in defense of his title against Brian Ortega. However the bout fell off early July when the champion was pulled from the bout due to concussion like symptoms. A heavyweight battle between Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis has been slotted as a new co-main event.

The promotion shared the highlight video from the pre-fight press conference. Dana White, Stipe Miocic, Daniel Cormier, Francis Ngannou, and Derrick Lewis were in attendance. The current UFC 226 lineup can be found below.
