Five WKN titles on the line in Mayotte

WKN makes its first visit to Indian Ocean on Saturday July 27 with the King of Kickboxing event held at the Gymnase Labattoir in Dzaoudzi on Kwezi TV. The fight card comprises five championship bouts, with the representatives of Mayotte up against international competitors coming from Madagascar, Reunion Island, Kenya and Tanzania.

The President of World Kickboxing Network Stephane Cabrera is coming to Mayotte to assist a historic event, which features WKN World, InterContinental and three Indian Ocean regional title bouts.

Stephane Cabrera is a man credited to help popularizing kickboxing globally. Among everything, back in 2000 he was cited in Black Belt as instrumental in convincing boxing promoter Don King to feature a Muay Thai World Title fight between Jerome Le Banner and Espedito da Silva on the undercard of Evander Holyfield vs. Vaughn Bean event held in September 98 at Georgia Dome in Atlanta, USA.

Cabrera is also a European pioneer to promote MMA bouts via IVC, as well as a creator of Simply the Best Kickboxing and Vice-President of International Boxing Association (IBA).

In addition the fight show, his schedule in Mayotte includes a seminar for judges and referees, dedicated to help developing kickboxing in Indian Ocean.

The King of Kickboxing event is headlined by Hirachidine Saindou of Mayotte up against Andifita Mahery of Madagascar. The pair battles out for WKN World Welterweight title.

In the co-main event local Jerome Valla faces Saleh Abdallah of Tanzania contesting for WKN InterContinental Welterweight title. A complete lineup can be found below.
