2018 FISU Muay Thai World University Championship

FISU World University Championship 2018 takes place in Pattaya, Thailand from 23 to 29 July. The bouts are held at the Hard Rock Hotel with 23 Nations featured on the roster of a seven-day Muay Thai fiesta.

The first round is scheduled for today, following an official opening ceremony. The programme comprises 12 contests, including a much promising 60 kg women’s bout between Nili Block of Israel and Albina Kulbizekova of Kazakhstan, International Federation of Muaythai Amateur reported.

Team Australia is represented by Kieran Walsh and Diandra Martin of Canberra, ACT. The latter competes in the 63.5 kg women’s class, facing off the representative of the country-host, Thai Phaenphloi Saeaia. The bout is scheduled for July 28.

A complete list of countries-participants includes Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, Turkey and Japan.
