FISU Muay Thai World University Championship 2018

FISU Muay Thai Uni Worlds is held in Pattaya, Thailand from 23 to 29 July. The roster of the event includes 98 athletes out of 23 countries battling out for medals in the boxing ring located outdoors at the Hard Rock Hotel.

The second day of competition is in the books. The programme comprised 13 bouts in both, male and female classes. 26 athletes went through the ropes, aiming to take the win and advance to the next round.

Among the bouts, at the 60 kg male division Artsem Vinnik of Belarus scored a unanimous decision against Mahmoud Ghandour of Lebannon. At the 51 kg women’s class the representative of the country-host Thai Nuttacha similarly defeated Margaux Izac of France. In addition, Russian Aleksei Fedotov stopped his Thai opponent Gongjok Khongsak in the second round of their 75 kg bout.

Australian Diandra Martin is scheduled to face Thai Phaenphloi Saeaia on Sat. July 28 in the 63.5 kg women’s contest.
