This past weekend “Magic of Thailand” visited a major city in England’s West Midlands region, Birmingham. A two-day fiesta was held at the Cannon Hill Park from 28 to 29 July, presenting a spectacular programme of Thai culture. Muaythai star Buakaw Banchamek appeared at the event bringing the spirit of the Art of Eight Limbs.

Among everything, the list of activities available for attendees included Buddhist Monk blessing, lady body shows, Thai massage. Topping up the bill, the beer garden and authentic Thai cuisine, accompanied by traditional music and dance, helped creating the atmosphere of the King of Thailand on the territory of the UK.

Buakaw Banchamek stepped inside the boxing ring where he performed the Wai Kru ritual, as well as showcased some of his fighting skills on pads. “The White Lotus” was traditionally happy to take photos with his fans and Muay Thai enthusiasts, and signed autographs.

In his most recent outing earlier this month Buakaw Banchamek scored a unanimous decision against Czech Michael Krcmar in the main event of All Star Fight 5 held in Prague. His next bout is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
