UFC 227: Inside the Octagon – Dillashaw vs Garbrandt 2

UFC 227 is held this coming Sunday August 5 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Cali. On Wednesday the promotion announced that the women’s bantamweight battle between Irene Aldana and Bethe Corria has been cancelled. The bout was featured on the preliminary card, however was taken off the programme due to injury of the latter.

“Due to injury, Bethe Correia has been forced to withdraw from her UFC 227 bout against Irene Aldana. The fight will not be replaced and the card will proceed with 12 bouts,” stated in the announcement.

In the main event of UFC 227 TJ Dillashaw defends his bantamweight title when he faces the former champion in the division Cody Garbrandt. In the co-main event Demetrious Johnson aspires to make his 12th consecutive title defense when he takes on Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo. The current fight card can be found below.

In addition, following the UFC 227 Countdown clip the promotion released the “Inside the Octagon” video. It features UFC commentators Dan Hardy and John Gooden taking a look back at the first fight between Dillashaw and Garbrandt, as well as share expectations of their second encounter at the upcoming event.
