Mike Tyson at UFC 227 Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt II, Embedded Ep. 3

UFC 227 Embedded: Vlog Series

UFC 227 takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Cali on August 5 (Aug. 4 in the US). The event is headlined by a pair of championship bouts. TJ Dillashaw defends his bantamweight title against the former champion Cody Garbrandt, while Demetrious Johnson makes his 12th consecutive title defense facing off Henry Cejudo. Furthermore, both bouts are the rematches.

Earlier this week the promotion released the first episode of UFC 227 Embedded Vlog Series, which is “an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog” leading up to the event. The following two chapters hit the stream on Thursday.

Episode 2 features the defending flyweight champion Johnson who spends time with family, before saying goodbye and heading to LA for the fight week. His opponent Henry Cejudo talks his upcoming contest at the barber. In addition, bantamweight title challenger Garbrandt does media in LA, and champion Dillashaw gets physical therapy on an unlikely body part.

In the third series Dillashaw trains alongside featherweight Cub Swanson. Former bantamweight champion Garbrandt “fine-tunes his skills with a team motivated to win back the belt”. Johnson does media in LA, and Cejudo arrives for fight week.

Topping up the bill, the former undisputed boxing heavyweight champion “Iron” Mike Tyson offers some advice to Garbrandt.

In addition, the recap from the UFC 227 open workouts has been released. The full fight card can be found below.
