UFC 227 Media Day face off

UFC 227: Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt 2

UFC 227 is held this coming Sunday (Sat. in the US) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Cali. The event features a twelve fight card with two titles contested on the top of the bill.

The main event is a bantamweight title fight between the defending champion TJ Dillashaw and the former titleholder Cody Garbrandt. The co-main event is a flyweight championship bout between the reigning champion Demetrious Johnson and the challenger Henry Cejudo. In addition, both bouts are the rematches. The previous encounters ended in favor of the current champions.

Following the UFC 227 Embedded vlog series and the recap from the open workouts, the promotion released the “Face off” video from the media day held in Los Angeles. The clip features the main-event fighters, as well as other competitors battling out on the night. In addition, the photo gallery is available on the promotion’s official website.

The main card also includes a middleweight battle between Thiago Santos and Kevin Holland, and a strawweight encounter between Polyana Viana and JJ Aldrich. As well, Cub Swanson takes on Renato Moicano at featherweight.

In addition, a bantamweight bout between Ricardo Ramos and Kyung Ho Kang has been reportedly moved up to the preliminary card, after the cancellation of Correia vs. Aldana fight. The current lineup can be found below.
