Fight Night Saint Tropez 6: Madjene decisions Kalachnikoff, earns WKN LW title
Kickboxing VIP event Fight Night Saint Tropez 6 was held this past Saturday (August 4) at the Citadel. The event featured a nine-fight card with two WKN titles contested on the top of the bill.
In the main event, the defending WKN World Super Middleweight champion French Yohan Lidon faced his old rival out of Switzerland Yoann Kongolo. The bout was a rematch following their first encounter at GLORY 42 Paris last June, when the latter came out victorious taking a three-round decision.
This time the athletes went head to head within five rounds of championship kickboxing. In the final round Lidon dropped Kongolo with head kick. The latter received an eight count and the bout resumed.
As a result, after five rounds of action the judges concluded a unanimous decision in favor of the representative of country-host. Ultimately, Lidon retained his belt, making the fourth successful title defense.
