Prokick: Smith vs. Filippou

International kickboxing returns to Northern Ireland on October 14 with the next “made-in Prokick” event held at Clayton Hotel Belfast. The event follows a recent edition of Billy Murray promotions produced in June, which marked the return of “The Iceman” Darren McMullan.

The upcoming event is headlined by local Johnny Smith who faces Periklis Filippou of Cyprus. The pair squares off in the scheduled for three rounds WKN International prestige bout at welterweight.

“The Swift” Smith is back in the ring for the first time since February 2017. In his most recent outing he scored the decision against Camilo Villada Posada of Spain.

The 22-year-old Filippou is a national champion of Cyprus. Going through the ropes in Belfast, he brings the 13-1 record to the table.

The fight card of the upcoming show also includes a newly crowned WKN International Flyweight champion Rowena Bolt, Matthew Kerr, Gary Fullerton and others. The names of their opponents and other match ups are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
