UFC 229: Khabib vs McGregor – the biggest fight in UFC history

UFC 229: Khabib vs McGregor tickets on sale Aug. 18

The former two division titleholder Conor McGregor returns to MMA action on October 7. Stepping inside the Octagon for the first time in almost two years “The Notorious” takes on the defending undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. The bout headlines UFC 229 held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Five other match ups featured on the card have been announced late last week. On Tuesday the promotion hit the stream with a new event trailer, announcing the ticket sale for the arena, which starts on August 18 (Aug. 17 in the US).

Among everything the clip shows some of the highlight moments of both main event fighters. In addition, the voice behind the screen outlines the Khabib vs. McGregor contest as “the biggest fight in UFC history”.

Among other bouts presented on the UFC 229 fight card Sergio Pettis faces Jussier Formiga at flyweight. As well, Ovince Saint Preux takes on Dominick Reyes at light heavyweight.

A heavyweight clash between Alexander Volkov and Derrick Lewis, as well as a bantamweight encounter between Sean O’Malley and Jose Alberto Quinonez are yet to be formally announced by the promotion. The current lineup can be found below.
