Silver Anniversary of Ultimate Fighting Championship

This year the Ultimate Fighting Championship celebrates its silver jubilee. The very first event, “The Beginning” was held on November 12, 1993 at the McNichols Sports Arena in Denver, Colo.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the promotion releases a documentary series. The “25 Years in Short” premier is scheduled for September on Fight Pass. The official trailer hit the stream on Thursday.

“2018 marks twenty-five years of the UFC, and in celebration of our silver anniversary, we’re presenting a groundbreaking, 25-part series of original, documentary short films,” stated in the description to the video on YouTube. “UFC 25 Years in Short brings together an award-winning team of documentary filmmakers, to tell twenty-five captivating stories, one for each year of the UFC’s extraordinary history. UFC 25 Years in Short premieres this September, only on UFC Fight Pass.”

Topping up the bill on November 10 the promotion returns to Denver with the official 25th anniversary Fight Night held at Pepsi Center. The event is headlined by a featherweight battle between the former lightweight titleholder Frankie Edgar and the former featherweight championship challenger Chan Sung Jung.
