Simply the Best Kickboxing

Simply the Best 22 takes place at Club GEI in Buenos Aires on September 22 (Sept. 23 AWST). The event is headlined by a championship rematch between Cristian Bosch face off Andres Dussan, contesting for WKN International Super Light Heavyweight title.

The second title fight presented on the card was revealed earlier this week, featuring the defending WKN International Middleweight champion Martin Velasco up against a yet to be determined opponent. On Friday, World Kickboxing Network added the third representative of Argentina to the roster, announcing Ignacio Capllonch who makes his fourth Simply the Best appearance.

“Multiple world champion, Argentine Ignacio Capllonch tops up the roster at STB 22 Buenos Aires. Making his fourth Simply the Best appearance “The Missile” is scheduled for a three-round super fight in Full Contact at bantamweight,” via Twitter.

The resume of Capllonch includes World Titles in two different weight classes and styles. In 2013, battling out in front of his home crowd, he earned WKN Bantamweight title in oriental kickboxing, scoring the second-round knockout win against Cleidson Ramos. Two years later he captured a Super Flyweight belt in Full Contact, stopping Jerome Ardissone in the sixth round in France.

This past May “The Missile” Capllonch took part at STB 19 Buenos Aires where he stopped Maiquel Pereyra. Earlier in his career he twice appeared in Caseros, where he defeated Alexander Da Silva at STB 7, and Cesar Benitez at STB 2.

The name of competitor going up against Capllonch at the upcoming STB 22 Buenos Aires and other match ups are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The event is scheduled on FOX Sports Latin America, CN 23 and B1B. The current lineup can be found below.
