Thunderdome 27: Rob Powdrill vs. Glen Austin

Australian Muay Thai fighter Rob Powdrill is back in the ring on Friday October 5. This time the all-rounder gives “The Sweet Science” another shot, when he takes on his Perth-fellow Glen Austin aka “The Six Million Dollar Man”.

The pair squares off at the “Thunderdome 27” event held at Perth Metro City night club. The contest is for WA State Cruiserweight title.

Rob Powdrill was last seen inside the square circle in Perth last May, when he scored the decision against Michael Wiktora in their second Muay Thai encounter. His most recent boxing bout was in May 2016 in Beijing, where he was stopped by Chinese Fanlong Meng in the fourth round.

With the 6-3 record in boxing, Rob Powdrill is known for his 2014 first-round knockout win against Damien Hooper.

After three years of lay off Glen Austin (6-0) returned to action in October 2016 at Domination Muay Thai 18 in Perth, where he scored a decision against Richard Simpson. Two months later he similarly defeated Ratu Vodovodoa. “The Six Million Dollar Man” is coming off a decision win against Jeremy Allan earned in May 2017.
