‘The Golden Champion’ Riyadh Al-Azzawi
Riyadh Al-Azzawi is the Iraqi-English kickboxer, who has held the World Kickboxing Network Super Cruiserweight title in Full Contact. His resume includes three successful championship defenses, since winning the belt at York Hall in London in 2008 against Tomasz Borowiec of Poland. In addition, he is the former WKN British and European champion.
Al-Azzawi made international headlines four years ago when he gold-platted his £200K Ferrari. In April 2016 he told FIGHTMAG the story behind it, sharing that “the nickname ‘Golden Champion’ was chosen by WKN President Stephane Cabrera”, which resulted in the super car transformation.
A new photo of famed Gold Ferrari emerged this week with the image shared by Levanterman Photography in social media.
“I can’t ever imagine owning a gold car but this made a fantastic photo. The car of multi World Kickboxing Champ Riyadh Al-Azzawi outside Harrods,” the British photographer posted on Twitter.
His Instagram post suggests that “when you buy a Super Car, did you know it comes with free parking outside Harrods in London.”
