Prokick Kickboxing at Clayton Hotel Belfast
World Kickboxing Network returns to Northern Ireland on October 14 with a Prokick Special produced by Billy Murray at Clayton Hotel Belfast. A nearly full main card has been announced last week, featuring the A-list representatives of the country-host up against international opponents.
On Saturday a previously announced super welterweight encounter between Matthew Kerr (5-0) and Shane Weir (5-1) of Scotland was promoted to a championship bout. Topping up the bill, the pair meets in a rematch.
Their first bout was held at the previous Prokick event promoted in June at Stormont Hotel, where the local fighter took a decision. The upcoming contest is scheduled for four rounds in Full Contact with the WKN Celtic Nations title at stake.
In addition, an international junior matchup between Northern Ireland’s Jay Snoddon and Antreas Rousogenis of Cyprus has been added to the roster. The bout is scheduled for three rounds in oriental kickboxing (K-1 rules) at catchweight with the limit of 52 kg.
The Prokick event at Clayton Hotel is headlined by Johnny Smith up against Periklis Filippou. The current main card can be found below.
