GLORY 57 results: Sitthichai defeats Grigorian by split decision, retains LW title

GLORY 57 Shenzhen

Kickboxing event GLORY 57 took place at the Shenzeh Bay Sports Center in China on August 25. The fight show featured a lightweight championship defense, as well as a series of “split decisions” throughout the card.

In the main event Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong retained his lightweight title against Marat Grigorian, taking a split decision. He also recorded the third win against the latter, with both previous bouts also going the distance.

Also on the night Cedric de Keirsmaeker took a split decision against Zang Kaiyi. As well, Khayal Dzhaniev scored a unanimous decision against Julio Lobo. The bout between Chenglong Zhang and Nafi Bilalovski was declared as “no contest” due to an accidental illegal strike in the first round.

The fight card also included an eight-man lightweight qualification tournament. In the final bout Liu Xu defeated Wenshang Zhang by split decision. The complete GLORY 57 results can be found below.
