UFC 228 results: Tyron Woodley submits Darren Till, retains WW title

UFC 228 took place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Sunday morning (Sep. 9 AWST). The fight card comprised 13 bouts with the welterweight title contest in the main event.

The headline-bout featured the defending welterweight champion Tyron Woodley up against the number one contender Darren Till. The scheduled for five rounds contest ended prior the final horn. “T-Wood” retained the belt scoring the win by submission (darce choke) at 4:19 of the second round.

In the co-main event strawweight Jessica Andrade knocked out Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the first-round. Also on the main card featherweight Zabit Magomedsharipov submitted Brandon Davis in Round 2.
