Mark Hunt vs. Gokhan Saki proposed for UFC Adelaide
Mark Hunt and Gokhan Saki are known as the elite kickboxers turned MMA fighters. They cemented their names in history during the heydays of Japanese promotion K-1.
While being a prominent kickboxer, Hunt has had his first MMA bout in June 2004. His last kickboxing fight was in April 2008. “The Super Samoan” made his debut inside the Octagon eight years ago. There is one more bout in his UFC contract.
Saki made his UFC debut last September. Before that “The Rebel” competed in K-1, It’s Showtime and GLORY.
And yet, although Hunt and Saki never faced off inside the ring, there is a chance to witness their battle at the upcoming UFC Adelaide (Fight Night 142) scheduled for December 2.
Saki recently shared an image in social media proposing a heavyweight clash with Mark Hunt. The latter agreed, responding with “Let’s bang then” (via Twitter).
Hunt is coming off the first-round submission defeat against Oleksiy Oliynyk at UFC Moscow earlier this month. Saki faced the first-round TKO defeat against Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 226 in July.
UFC is yet to comment a proposed matchup.
