Mike Tyson launches the first ever Kumite 1 League

Indian Mixed Martial Arts promotion Kumite 1 League makes its debut this coming Saturday (September 29) in Mumbai. The event takes place at Dome at NSCI SVP Stadium, featuring a live scoring MMA competition contested by Team India up against Team UAE.

The inaugural event is launched by former undisputed heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson, who visits India for the first time. As well, President of World Kickboxing Network (WKN) Stephane Cabrera attends the event as a special guest.

On Monday the promotion revealed to FIGHTMAG an updated lineup. Two changes have been made on the previously announced preliminary card.

The representative of the country-host, Yadwinder Singh received a new opponent. Competing for Team UAE, Khalid Alraimi goes up against local bantamweight, replacing Mohd. Al Azzani.

As well, Indian bantamweight Swapnil Barve faces Ahmed Aldarmaki, representing UAE. The latter steps in for Mahmoud Fawaz.

Kumite 1 League is headlined by a bantamweight battle between Mohd Farhad and Abdel Malek. The co-main event is a women’s strawweight bout between Priyanka Jeet Toshi and Fatemeh Moslemi.
