CREED 2: It’s time kid, Adonis Johnson faces Viktor Drago

Creed II second official trailer released

Creed 2 hits the US theaters on Thanksgiving, which falls on November 21. The official release in Australia is scheduled for November 29.

A highly anticipated movie, starring Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Johnson, shoulder to shoulder with Hollywood boxing icon Sylvester Stallone, portraying legendary Rocky Balboa, follows the first chapter of sport’s drama released in 2015.

The first official movie trailer was released in June. On Thursday (AWST) MGM hit the stream with the second Creed 2 trailer. In addition, a new poster featuring Sylvester Stallone landed via Twitter.

“Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life,” stated in the description on YouTube. “Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past [Viktor Drago / Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu] only intensifies his impending battle in the ring.”

“Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all. Together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family.

“Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.”

The cast also includes Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Russell Hornsby, Andre Ward, Phylicia Rashad, Dolph Lundgren.
