Mundine signs weight conditions for Horn fight, reports
The bout between Australian boxers Jeff Horn and Anthony Mundine has been reportedly signed off. The contest takes place at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on November 30.
The pair squares off at catchweight with the limit of 71 kg. The second weigh-in is scheduled to be held two hours before the bout. The fighters are required to be no more than 75 kg.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Mundine faces $375,000 fine if he shows one kilogram over the limit on the first weigh-in. The next 500 gram result in $20,000 fine, and then it is $50,000 per 100 grams.
Jeff Horn (18-1-1, 12 KO) is the former WBO welterweight champion. In June he was stopped by Terence Crawford in the ninth-round and lost the title. Before that he was undefeated in 19 professional bouts, which includes a notable win against Manny Pacquiao.
Anthony Mundine (48-8-0, 28 KO) is coming off the second-round TKO win earned in January against Tommy Browne, taking WBO Oriental middleweight title. A year earlier he lost against Danny Green by a majority decision.
