Srisaket Sor Rungvisai retains WBC Super Flyweight title
Thai star Srisaket Sor Rungvisai faced Mexican Iran Diaz this past Saturday (Oct. 6) in Bangkok. The pair headlined the “Kingdom of Heroes” event produced by ONE Championship at the Impact Arena. The fight card comprised 14 bouts with boxing, kickboxing, muaythai and MMA bouts featured on the programme.
Going through the ropes in front of his home crowd Srisaket was making the third defense of his WBC Super Flyweight title. After twelve rounds of boxing, he comfortably scored a unanimous decision against Diaz, consequently retaining the belt.
In the co-main event the defending ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight champion Kai Ting Chuang of Taiwan faced the representative of the country-host Stamp Fairtex. The scheduled for five rounds contest went the distance. The latter earned a unanimous decision and as a result became a new titleholder.
Also on the night Anthony Njokuani took a split decision against Andy Souwer after three rounds of their kickboxing encounter at lightweight. The complete fight results can be found below.
