Charity Walk featured on Asian Championships program
Muay Thai Asian Championships 2018 is held from 4 to 14 December in Macau. Considered as “the major event in the region” the competition is expected to feature a large number of nations represented by male and female athletes battling out in the respective weight-classes.
“The 4000 seater Macau Forum is going to become the venue for the heated clashes of the Asian Championships,” International Federation of Muaythai Amateur announced on Monday. “Macau Forum has seen many Muaythai events and the crowd already anticipates the team parade at the opening ceremony.”
Macau Forum is the second largest venue, immediately after the Macau East Asian Games Dome. It is connected to the adjacent IPM Multisport Pavilion and Media Centre.
In addition to the bouts inside the square circle, the programme of Asian Championships includes a Charity Walk, aimed to support those in need around the world.
“Muaythai will join schools, businesses, the government in a run to raise awareness and funds of the current global challenges.”
The registration for the event opened mid September at IFMA Live. To date, over 20 countries have reportedly confirmed their participation.
